Range of DriveAlign® tensioners keeps expanding

Gates adds 21 new DriveAlign® tensioners to its range ensuring they remain one of the largest manufacturers of tensioners for accessory belt drive systems in Europe and the second largest OE manufacturer for automatic tensioners in the world.

Gates’ range of OE equivalent DriveAlign® tensioner units is the most complete of any automotive market player.  Over the last few months new parts were added to the already extensive range of DriveAlign® tensioners.  With their unique sealing, their chrome-silicone torsion spring, special damping mechanism, solid pulleys and premium precision bearings, they offer precise OE fit for a wide array of applications.  The patented round spring design is stronger and more contamination-resistant than the flat spring design.  The chrome-silicone spring coils do not rub against each other, eliminating unnecessary noise.  And because of their careful design, they are much less subject to flex fatigue.

Of the 21 references over 19 car brands, the Russian offer was especially extended with updates for Lexus and Toyota.  For Lexus, the models GS300, IS250, GS350, and IS250C have recently been updated with a DriveAlign® Tensioner.  Other references cover the Land Rover Freelander, Volvo XC60/S60/V60, Audi A4 and A5 series, Seat Ibiza and Alhambra, and some of the more recent models of Volkswagen.
