Regional Account Manager Heavy Duty N-Europe

Automotive Replacement

Your responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Sales Budgets for Automotive Heavy Duty Aftermarket (Truck and Bus).
  • Responsible for forecasting, budgeting and planning of sales and the specific sales conditions that are needed to achieve and exceed budgets on all product lines – Gates belts and kits, Automotive hose, Fluid Power and cooling for Heavy Duty products.
  • Account management of several Heavy Duty specialists in N-Europe.
  • Actively search for new opportunities in line with the strategic business plan for Heavy Duty and spread the strategy through the region.
  • Work closely with the DSM’s and RSM’s in the region and support them for Heavy Duty. Become the Heavy Duty commercial champion in the region.
  • Central point to collect all field data from the region and report on a regular base towards the Business Development organization.
  • Development of a strong commercial and personal relationship with Gates’ direct customers and ensuring that their accounts are correctly managed, and that the best and most effective relationship is maintained by Gates personnel with all levels of customers.
  • Development of a strong and positive relationship with a wide range of Gates departments.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Gates is paid in full and on time by all customers.
  • Reports to the Director of Sales, Gates Automotive Aftermarket, and has a dual reporting line to the Business Development Manager Heavy Duty.

Your profile

  • Degree in Business and/or Mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum five years in Automotive Replacement.
  • Truck, Bus or Trailer experience is a must.
  • Client focused with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Able to make decisions with guidelines and limited direction.
  • Self-starter and independent
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and oral. Any other languages are an asset.
