Based in Europe, we are looking for a:


SAP Center of Excellence FICO EMEA Lead (M / F)



This position will work closely with the Gates SAP Global & Regional Center of Excellence (COE) Leadership team and the EMEA Finance team in in the design and building of Global policies, procedures and processes, master data, roles definition and change management for the new Global Leading Practice Template (GLPT) in a greenfield SAP S/4HANA environment.


The SAP COE FICO EMEA Lead's responsibilities fall into 3 primary areas:

  1. Working with the Gates Finance Global process owner (GPO) and SAP COE global FICO team in the design and build of the global template (ERP & ancillary support applications).
  2. Governance:
    1. Following standards and procedures defined by the SAP COE provide governance to new full-cycle Go Live projects, enhancement projects, and helpdesk tickets to ensure process, data, reports and methodology compliance. 
    2. Partner with SAP COE global FICO team, Finance GPO, and regional financial and IT organizations to maintain the integrity of the GLPT.
  3. Manage mixed financial deployment team(s) of internal IT, business and consulting partner resources responsible for delivering GLPT and on-going support.



Your Profile:


  • This position will require extensive hands-on experiences in Enterprise-wide SAP system (S/4HANA preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or business discipline.
  • Minimum 6-8 years’ experience of working in a Global IT COE Organization.
  • Experience in partnering with business leaders to develop and drive global initiatives.  Able to establish credibility and build support for financial solutions across various functional teams and business stakeholders. Manage interactions with stakeholders to stay within project constraints/scope.
  • High Level interpersonal and leadership skills; must be able to influence and coach across multiple levels within the company and locations; including establishing global partnerships.
  • Flexible and adaptable to fast paced, evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of global financial standards.
  • Demonstrated understanding of EMEA financial standards and regulatory environments.
  • Solution oriented and demonstrates agility and resourcefulness in identifying creative and practical solutions.
  • Effectively communicate across all levels of the organization including technical and non-technical people both verbally and in writing. Represents company interests with outside customers and vendors in a professional and articulate manner.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once, prioritizing tasks and deliverables, and managing expectations accordingly.
  • Courage and ability to influence and make hard decisions.
  • Passion and sense of urgency to listen & proactively attend to clients’ needs.
