Compensation & Benefits Manager EMEA
C&B expert with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
Your function:
§ Mainly working from the European Headquarters in Belgium, you are responsible for the ongoing standardization, design, planning and implementation of the Pan European HR Compensation & Benefits programs, policies and procedures. 
§ You review and uphold these programs, suggest modifications and ensure the achievement of a competitive market position or other goals identified by the Gates organization. Relying on your extensive experience and judgement skills, it is your objective to make sure that they meet Gates’ employees’ needs, comply with regional legal requirements, are cost effective and enhance the Gates organization’s ability to recruit and retain their employees.
§ Based on your specialist knowledge and recommendations, combined with a high degree of creativity and latitude, you have the opportunity to influence and challenge the different stakeholders and board of directors of The Gates Corporation on these matters. 
§ Next to the former, you perform a variety of tasks, e.g. complete the analyses of salary data, determine pay grades and conduct compensation surveys, but also serve on job evaluation committees, and typical special European Compensation & Benefits projects.
§ Working within a matrix structure, you have first level decision making authority and autonomy on key responsibilities, as well as significant input regarding pan EMEA budgets for C&B matters.
§ You work closely together with your HR colleagues and report directly to the Vice President of HR EMEA.
Your profile:
§ You preferably have a master’s degree or equivalent, and at least a track record of 5 years of direct experience in the field of compensation & benefit issues across several EMEA jurisdictions.
§ Thanks to your excellent analytical skills, you have the aptitude for critical analyses and creative problem solving. Strong skills on MS-Office (Excel pivot tables) and web based tools are required.
§ You are a hands-on person with excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
§ Being a self-confident and structured communicator, you are able to convince people, even on a board level.
§ You have both the capacity to support others as team player and the ability to function in an autonomous way.
§ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, fluency in English and at least one other European language are required.
§ You are prepared to travel up to 20% of your time.
