New Gates oil field cementing hose: when downtime is not an option…

For the oil and gas industry Gates recently released a new 2” ID fully API 7K approved cementing hose. The hose is available in both 5,000 and 10,000 PSI working pressures. New one-piece 1502 hammer unions that are complementary with these hoses are also available. This product - just like any other product from Gates oilfield programme - is available with very short delivery times through our oilfield product distribution network.
Cementing hoses serve as a flexible connection between the cementing pump manifold and cementing head and need to be able to convey cement slurries at high pressure. These harsh conditions call for tough, reliable and safe components. Gates 2” Black Gold® Cementing hoses feature a tube which is specially compounded to handle abrasive, corrosive and oily drilling mud. The tube is reinforced with multiple layers of spiralled high tensile steel wire to ensure durable operation.

Both 5,000 and 10,000 PSI working pressures are available. For an even higher reliability the 2” 10,000 PSI cementing hose comes standard with a Gates Mega Tuff™ cover which is 300 times stronger than standard rubber covers. These hoses are fully API 7K approved when supplied with Gates GSH integral 2” 1502 Hammer Union couplings.

The new cementing hose is a further addition to Gates Black Gold series of oil field hoses which are designed and manufactured to maximize uptime on drilling rigs. All products in the range are type approved, offer superior coupling retention and are available in extremely short lead times.
