MANAGEMENT CHANGES IN GATES INDUSTRIAL POWER TRANSMISSION BUSINESS UNIT

Gates Power Transmission Europe’s President, Giorgio Brusco, announces new appointments effective January 1st 2009. These changes follow the promotion  of Mrs Tribby Warfield, the current Vice President, Industrial Sales and Marketing in Europe to the role of President of North American Power Transmission. Her position will not be taken over as such but will be split into different roles.
 
Verdonckt appointed New Vice President Sales & Marketing
Peter Verdonckt has been appointed to the new role of Vice President Sales & Marketing for the industrial general market.
 
Verdonckt joined Gates in April 2000 as D.C. Manager in Ghent. He then took overall AR logistics responsibility for Gates in Europe and in 2003 became also in charge of the Market Development Team. In 2004 he became General Sales Manager for the Gates Automotive Replacement business and most recently was appointed Vice President Sales and Marketing for that industry segment. He will now combine sales and marketing functions for both the Automotive Replacement and the Industrial General businesses.
 
Peter Verdonckt’s strong Sales and Distribution background and European management experience will serve him well to succeed in his new challenging role.
 
Koerfer appointed New Industrial Original Equipment Director
Wolfgang Koerfer has been appointed to the new role of Industrial Original Equipment Director, a role in which he will lead the activities in Sales, Project Management and Application Engineering for the OE market segment.
 
Koerfer has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Aachen University. He joined Gates in 1996 and held various roles in sales, project management and system engineering; where he has built up the knowledge needed for his challenging new role.
