Strategic Role Is Key For Gates

In a move designed to exploit new business opportunities and respond more effectively to the needs of key trade customers, Gates has appointed Frank Nieuwenhuys as Business Development Director/ International Groups Account Executive.

“As well as being one of the world’s leading manufacturers of OE systems and components, Gates is also a major player in the aftermarket sector and we are responding to market evolution and change,” Nieuwenhuys says. “In the UK and throughout the rest of Europe too, buying groups are becoming increasingly influential. This position provides a focus, a more effective bridge between the activities of our sales team and the developing trends that affect product development and sales within those key accounts.”

The Gates aftermarket range is extensive and its major specialist product areas include components for drive systems, cooling systems and fuel systems. These include belts, tensioners and kits for both timing belt drive systems and accessory drives, hoses, thermostats and radiator caps for cooling systems, plus fuel system hoses, clamps and other accessories with a wide range of applications.

Frank Nieuwenhuys, who joined Gates from Rexnord Industrial, was formerly with Koni (Europe and US) and Monroe Europe.
