Gates present at SED 2005

Milton Keynes - May 17-19 - PAV 57

This year again, Gates Fluid Power Europe will be present at the SED fair in Milton Keynes - Buckinghamshire.  At this national event for the construction industry, the Gates stand will be located in Pavilion 57.  The stand will not only showcase the Gates’ Global range of hoses and couplings, but also the Gates Integrated System Approach to achieving superior hose assemblies and Gates’ commitment to a higher standard in safety with the Safe Hydraulics programme.

The Gates Integrated System Approach is a comprehensive approach which combines superior products, advanced crimping machines and dies with validated ready-to-use crimp data, ensuring not only compliance to European legislation but also performance levels above and beyond international standards.

The Safe Hydraulics programme brings the Gates message of preventive maintenance and safety to end-users in a practical and easy to follow approach tailored to their needs.  Safe Hydraulics seminars cover the hydraulic hose assembly safety and preventive maintenance spectrum from beginning to end and are only available via the Gates network of distributor-partners.  Visitors will also be able to discover the Safe Hydraulics website both at the Gates stand and at
www.safehydraulicseurope.com.

Gates’ new 8M5K hose will also be in the spotlight at SED.  This breakthrough wire-braid hose combines a working pressure of 35,0 MPa with a minimum bend radius of only 90 mm! Designed for integrated use with the Gates Global MegaCrimp® couplings, 8M5K has the potential to outperform all competitors. When assembled with MegaCrimp® couplings in accordance with the Gates integrated approach (using Gates crimpers, dies, crimp data settings and procedures), 8M5K has been developed to withstand impulse testing to 600,000 cycles - above and beyond any standard in the world.
