Gates present at SED 2004

St Neots – This year again, Gates Hose & Connectors Europe will be present at the SED fair in Milton Keynes - Buckinghamshire.  At this national event for the construction industry, the Gates stand will be located in Pavilion 63.

The big news this year will be the launch of Gates Hose & Connectors Europe’s “Safe Hydraulics” programme, an extensive education programme focusing on preventive maintenance and safety.  As an industry leader, Gates wants to share its expertise by providing information and programmes that pull all users on the right track to safe, long-lasting, cost-efficient hydraulic assemblies.  The “Safe Hydraulics” programme is a natural fit with this objective and it reflects Gates’ integrated approach and its role as a provider of high-performance, quality products and support.

Special attention will also be given to Gates’ MegaCrimp® hydraulic couplings designed for wire braid hose constructions. These next generation couplings only require a powerful one-stage crimp without the need to remove the hose cover or lining to ensure leak-free sealing. The unique and patented “C” insert gives the MegaCrimp® couplings their high performance. It allows both hose and coupling to stay round during crimping, thus eliminating leak paths.

Of particular interest to the construction sector is Gates’ flexible CM2T-TWIN Megaflex® hose, consisting of two high-quality rubber hoses vulcanised together to form one single and solid unit excluding hose-to-hose abrasion.  This product is ideal for all applications where pressure and return lines have to be routed together over long distances.

All Gates’ Hose and Connectors products are backed by intensive testing, ongoing research and product development support to meet changing needs.  Furthermore, timely product delivery and high service levels are key priorities within the company.
